The tradition began in Annapolis in the late 1970s\, to bid a not-so-fond farewell to the harsh winter of 1977-78. This act of defiance against the gloom of winter has become a communal celebration among sailors\, boat builders and watermen – marking the start of Spring and the local boating season. As West View Shores friends and neighbors\, let’s get together and kick Winter to the curb. \nWHERE        Sheri Woodruff’s – 94 Basin Road\nWHEN           Saturday\, March 28         6:00 to 8:00 pm\nTHE DEETS WVSCA will provide hot dogs and chili\, a few small snacks\, non-alcoholic beverages\, and all supplies. \nI need a few volunteers to bring a crockpot of their favorite soup or stew. All other attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. \nThis is a BYOB event.
